PEAK 7 RENOVATION

Florio Architecture is committed to the local Summit County Community and this is a fine example of one of our many projects for residents of modest means. Targeted additions and renovations transformed this outdated 1970’s ski cabin into a handsome and functional modern home. Energy efficiency was a primary concern for this client and we worked to improve insulation values, install solar electric panels and – the showpiece of the project – a solar hydronic heating system. This high tech computer controlled system captures the sun’s energy in the form of hot water which is stored in insulated tanks and used to heat the home.
